Subject: can anyone help find this song?

Hello! I've been looking for this song for, oh about a decade, but having trouble since I can't work out the title or artist. Male voice, with male back-up. The lyrics (in part) go:
Hey, hey Citizen Jane
What will your sisters say?
They'll say "Ain't it a shame
After coming such a long, long way."
What a picture (what a picture)
What a woman (what a woman)
What a....
A little touch up
A little effort
What will your sisters say?
Originally I thought it was by the Kane Gang, because their song Miracle sounds quite similar to the feel of this song, and was released about the same time (1987), but apparently it's not them. Can anyone help please???

Your "mystery song" is "Citizen Jane" by Bernie Taupin, a minor hit on the adult contemporary chart here in the U.S. in the Summer of '87. (It failed to cross over to the pop chart.) It was off his 1987 album, Tribe. Unfortunately, the album is long out-of-print, although it did come out on CD here in the U.S...
Taupin is of course best known as Elton John's longtime songwriting partner, but he releases his own albums every once in a while as well...

Wow, that was quick! Awesome dude, a million thanks go your way.
Now finding a copy of this song will take me the next decade, no doubt...
