Subject: Lunchboxes

Yeah, yeah.  ;D I had a flashback and wanted to share.

FACT: In the 1980's, the ban on metal lunchboxes goes national, and in 1985, Rambo is the last metal lunchbox ever produced.

Do you still remember the ones you owned, even if it includes ones from the 1970's (Just because some folks were probably done with lunchboxes by the time the 80's began and stuff)?

I had these:

The Fantastic 4
Justice League
The Flintstones

My memory fails me sometimes  ::) .

I gotta go back to the 1960's for the only lunchbox I ever owned… The Beverly Hillbillies.  Well, doggies!

I did the lunch box for a year, then went brown-bag all the way.  I had one in 2nd grade (maybe '73-4?) that had ecology printed and an emblem on it. I liked the look of it, and it was plastic so I don't think it did much for the environment once I did quit using it.

I had a Clash of the Titans lunchbox in 5th grade.  After that my mom made me eat school lunch because she didn't want to pack my lunch and I mad too much of a mess.

I had a Wonder Woman lunchbox, that was plastic and insulated.  I saw on one Ebay a month ago, but didn't win the auction.  Still on the lookout for one of those, but I loved that lunchbox.

Wonder Woman was my hero.

I had a Care Bears lunchbox in 2nd grade. And God help me, as much as I hate to admit it, I also had a New Kids On the Block lunchbox. :o I never used it though, I swear.

I vaguely remember having a "B.J. and the Bear" lunchbox. For those who don't remember, that was a short-lived TV show in the late 70s/early 80s about a truck driver and a chimpanzee.

I found that show to be quite entertaining.

Speed Buggy! and Dukes of Hazzard.. I had one or two others I think.. and then the cheaply made plastic lunchboxes dominated..

I had one or two plastic ones, but they kept falling apart, so I gave up and went brown bag.. until I got to highschool, when I gave up lunch to hang out in the computer lab..

I actually went and re-purchased a Speed Buggy lunchbox on eBay to replace mine (which died from being stored in the basement, and having stickers on it too)..
