remember that show "Land of the Lost"? I'm not sure what years it was on, but it was on Sat. mornings. It seems like they did a remake of it later on. I remember the special fx were so cheesy.

OOOPS
my bad, I just saw that it was on in the early '90s. For some reason I thought I remembered watching it earlier than that.

The show was basically a '70s thing; it may have ended in the '80s but definitely I was watching as a bona-fide kid in the '70s. ;D
Yes, even then it looked cheesy, but so did many shows of its cheapness. Somehow I was entertained much of the time. Remember the ape-kid? And the weird lighted-stone oracle or whatever it was?

I just looked it up on epguides, and it ran from 1974-76, and then had a remake running from 1991-92. I must have been watching the '70s reruns in the 80's I guess!

The Sleestacks were the bad ones. Made sucking sounds and had really big eyes. I saw it late 70s early 80s.

I used to watch Land of The Lost back in the 70's; yeah it was pretty cheesy, but entertaining. I also remember a show called something like "ARK IV" or some number and it looked like a modified RV taking it's crew on a mission to save the world. I also remember another one that had Billy Barty in it, but can't think of the name.

I definitely remember Land Of The Lost, the 70's and 90's version. I had the hots for Wesley Eure back then (70's). :-* Yes, the show was quite cheesy for today's standards but very fun to watch.

I remember watching "Land of the Lost" the last year it was on, 1978. From what I've read, it was on from 1974-78. The 1st 3 years were new episodes, and 1977-78 was reruns. I just remembered Uncle Jack when I was a kid, but I found out that it started with their dad at first. Then in the 1st episode of the 1976 season, their dad went back to the real world and replaced with their uncle.
During the summers of 1985 and 86, CBS reran the 1974-75 episodes, and that was the 1st time I ever saw their dad instead of Uncle Jack on the show. It was pretty interesting watching those old shows.
I saw the 1991 version for maybe 2 episodes until I stopped caring about it.
And the name of that other show was "Ark II". I remember just about every time it came on, my mom would talk about how the guy with the beard played David Banning on "Days of our Lives".
