Subject: Coolest rides (cars, bikes etc.) from 80s TV
Other than the various exotic vehicles shown on "Miami Vice", my favorite ride was the car from a short-term series called "Automan", a detective show that included special effects based on the film technology from the movie "TRON".
The car was a mid-seventies Lamborghini Countach LP400.
Thinking cap time!!! :) - give me some more rides to remember!

Almost three hours old and no one has mentioned K.I.T.T.?? Man that was on cool car.

The Mach V from Speed Racer, of course. And don't forget Bo and Luke's orange Charger "General Lee" from "The Dukes of Hazzard."
While we're at it, the A-Team's van was kind of cool, too (Do you know of any other van that could withstand that kind of abuse?).

So, what, the Back To the Future Delorian is just chopped liver? Everyone I grew up with wished for even just a ride in that car. As for non-motorized rides, BMX ruled!- Rad, need I say more?

For non-motorized bikes , my old Huffy Aerowind 12 speed was the shiznit. All the metal bars pressed flat for better aerodynamics, aerodynamic slip covers on the brakes, thin wheels, even the pedals were designed to cut as much resistance as possible. I was clocked doing nearly 50 on that thing one day (down hill of course), trying to see how fast I could go on it.

I still have (and use) my Mongoose Coz Cruiser dirt bike. Large frame, BMX'er - that old stuff rules!

Well said.
Isn't it cool the kinds of cars movie and television detectives can drive and still manage to blend in and be inconspicuous.
If the suspension systems on cars were as good as audiences' suspension of disbelief, they wouldn't destroy as many vehicles making these movies and TV shows. :)

That's the truth - I think they destoyed more than 60 of the 1969 Dodge Chargers during the "Dukes of Hazard" series!!
That's very sad.

I had to really think hard to remember where this quote came from ... Diamond Dave (a.k.a. David Lee Roth).
Thanks for taking me back. :)
