Subject: Bouncing Souls or Simple Minds...?
Written By: taraco on 09/06/02 at 08:15 a.m.
So many MP3s are mislabeled or flat-out wrong that peer-to-peer sharing can be risky business.
Examples: The cover of C'Mon Eileen by 'No Doubt' offered at Gnutella is actually by Save Ferris; the Deftones don't do the jazzy ska version of Hungry Like the Wolf -- it's actually by Reel Big Fish; Bruce Springsteen doesn't sing Come Together with Bon Jovi -- it's with Axl Rose!
Anyhow, my question: There's a version of Don't You Forget About Me credited to Bouncing Souls. There's a couple of reviews here which confirm the version. But the download sounds amazingly like the original by Simple Minds.
Is the Souls version really that dead-on? I've downloaded both and hear only subtle differences at best.
Any help appreciated!
