;D M.T.V. in the early days rocked. Now it's just stuff I could throw up watching. Maybe theres a change coming. I have to get VH1 classics. Personnelly I need rock and roll. I can't stand the rapp and the talk and the so called real life shows they have.

Just an hour or two ago I was looking through the TV Guide and said to the wife, "Wow! From 7-8pm there's VIDEOS on MTV!!"

VH1 is just as bad anymore.

I got the pleasure of watching VH1 Classic whil in Ohio last month.  Cool to see videos I had forgotten, or didn't even know existed.

We just recently came across a bunch of tapes from 4th of July weekend, 1997.  One of those VH1 "A to Z" specials.  I recorded almost all of it on 12 or so tapes so I could mix it down to keep the ones we wanted.  It's frustrating, tho', cuz you know there's more videos (especially HITS) by an artist, but you only get one or 2.  Or, instead of the video, you get an MTV/VH1 concert performance.  (Eagles "Hotel California" is from the Hell Freezes Over special, not the classic concert footage that passed as the video for 20 yrs.)

Also, most videos list the album as a greatest hits package instead of the original album.  I've noticed this alot in the past couple years.  The last time I saw "Beat It", the album listed was HIStory.  I guess I understand, record companies want you to rush out and get the most current album, but c'mon!

I couldn't agree more VH1 is getting as bad as M.T.V. I must get digital cable so I can get VH1 calssic.
