I found this site that has old video and audio of some classic 70s and 80s tv commercials!!! Boy, does this bring back some memories. I couldn't believe that I remembered the Kudos jingle word for word and could sing along to the Hallmark song! And is that Michael Bolton singing the Lipton Cup of Soup song? I was just listening to this Bubblelicious commercial from 1984! It made me want to start break dancing!!! I've also been singing along to the old Apple Jacks and Burger King songs!!! :)

Do my eyes deceive me, or is that Andrew McCarthy in this video for Burger King? :) The footage is a bit grainy, but you can still see!

I feel like a kid just listening to those old commercials.I wish they brought back the old commercials from back then.Now,today's commercials suck wind.We got the Dell dude,The Subway Guy,hardcore video game commercials,wrestling,cell phones.1983 was a good year for commercials.Even though I was only 9 years old. howard-

I have known about the 80's Super Themes page for a few years.
They even go back to the 70's sometimes. Now, normally I would say that an 80's page should stick to the 80's, but then again, how else are we gonna enjoy what this page has?
For example, there's no other page I know of that has the as-heard-on-TV theme of "Match Game" in its entirety, or "You can take Salem out of the country, but you can't take the country out of Salem", or the commercial for "Pitch-In". (Yes, there was a TV commercial for "Pitch-In" to go along with the logo on trash cans.) Not to mention the gosh-awful "Plymouth Makes It."
One thing that intrigues me is how those TV newscasts could take "Cool Hand Luke" and make it into a news theme. I never saw that movie, but I sure as heck recognized that news theme (the 80's version, anyway).
Well, come to think of it, those 80's commercials were something, too. I especially like Mr. T. for TR-3.

I was listening to this Juicy Fruit Gum commercial from 1983 and I had to laugh! ;D I remember boys would sing this jingle in middle school and make it sound rather naughty!!! Oh, the minds of kids!!! ;D ;) :D

Thanks for the confirmation, TX! I knew that it had to be him. At first, I thought the actress starring with him was Elizabeth Shue, but I don't think that's who it is! :)
