Subject: Star Trek Sunglasses
You know those Star Trek sun glasses, the ones that were really thin, the ones that Laforge wore. I can only assume theyre from the 80s cause i saw kids wearing them in movies like Sixteen Candles and ET. First of all, what the heck are they called, and is there anywhere on the earth i can find them?

My cousin used to wear a banana clip over his eyes and pretend to be in Star Trek :D
There were a few people in my HS that wore glasses like the one in question - some of them gave a really distorted/skewed view (probably even damaged your vision, but they looked cool!). I wish I could find some myself...

I heard from another source that these glasses are called Divo (or Deevo, spelling unknown) glasses, if that helps anybody help me.

Yes, the '80s band Devo used to wear glasses like that. Check out their video "Whip It."
