Subject: Memories of Cartoons and Toys for Boys, and More
Who else watched Star Blazers when they came home from elementary school? Remember Captain Avatar - a great man. I got my first Gobot (Turbo) in 4th grade, then collected a lot more: Leader 1, Scooter, Cy-Kill, Tux, and other ones with great names. Then I began collecting Transformers, and luckily, I kept them all. For those who can relate: Optimus Prime, Soundwave, Shockwave, Starscream, Omega Supreme, Megatron, etc. I have "Transformers the Movie" on video, and saw it when it debuted in 1985. Remember Thundercats? Liono, Panthro, Cheetara, Tigra, and the two kids whose names I can't recall. And Snarf, of course. Cartoon Network airs Thundercats, I hear. I also had MASK figures and vehicles, remember those? Great MASK cartoon, too. Remember when everyone wore those multi-zippered Michael Jackson jackets? What about when everyone tried to breakdance? How weird.

You must have been hit by a blasting moment of nostalgia!
Welcome to the 80's board, PF! :)
Yes, I remember everything of which you speak. I saw "Transformers the Movie" in 1986.
Those were the years indeed. I wish I had kept more of my belongings from back in the day. Things just became "lost" over the years.
Well, we have this messageboard in which to reminisce. ;)
