Subject: State of the Nation by Industry
I am looking for this particular song by Industry. "State of the Nation". I hope the "nuclear war 80's songs" site listing has the correct information.
I've search internet sites but always unsuccessful. Could anybody help me find this song/album so I can purchase it?
Thanks!

"State of the Nation" by Industry was a minor hit here in the U.S. in the Fall of '83. It was originally released on the group's 1983 EP, simply titled Industry. In early '84, a full-length album followed, which also included the song: Stranger to Stranger. Unfortunately, both the EP and the full-length album are long out-of-print, and neither has ever been re-issued on CD here in the U.S. I have both titles on cassette myself...
BTW, the band was from Long Island, NY, where I lived up until six months ago. After I hooked a music buddy of mine onto Industry several years ago, he actually went ahead and tracked down all four original band members on LI (where it turned out they all still lived, even though they'd split as a band 15 years earlier). He's now good friends w/ the group's drummer, Mercury Caronia, and one afternoon last Fall, my friend brought him over to my place, where we listened to some of Mercury's CD collection, and some music he's working on in his current band... :D
