What was your Prom theme song, year of your prom and color of your dress or tux? :D

"Nothing can stand in your way" by Zappa Costa.  1987.  Wore a black tux, with red cumberbund and bow tie.

1986, a St. Elmo's Fire song (not the Man in Motion song, the slow one that went "We laughed until we had to cry...")  Isn't that terrible that I don't remember the name of the song?
My dress was a very light, soft yellow.  I think it's still at my parents house in my old closet.

Junior Prom was "Greatest Love of All" by Whitney Houston

Senior Prom (the one that matters! ;) ) was "Never Say Goodbye" by Bon Jovi...  :-[

Oh, yeah, I wore a black tux with PURPLE bow tie and cumberbund, to match my date's dress...

1989 I can't remember the prom theme song, I think it was something by Whitney Houston.  I wore a black strapless dress with multi-colored sparkles.  The only thing I really remember about the prom was taking the limo into Washington D.C. and releasing a whole mess of helium balloons at the Jefferson Memorial.  Why I wanted to do this, I cannot say...

"I had the time of my life" (from Dirty Dancing).  My dress was a beautiful red gown.  Of course, I had all of the red accessories...gloves, purse, and hair ribbon.

I fell in love with the gown when I saw it in a window of a boutique in Alexandria Va.  I begged my Mom to go look at it with me.  We almost died when we found it the price - $400.00!   :o  

She said if I got a part time job for after school and weekends to help pay for the dress, it was mine.  

Needless to say, I think I had the best (and most expensive) dress at my prom :D

I have no idea if we had a prom theme song. I do know that the graduation song was John Michael Montgomery's version of "Friends", man I got sick of that song...

Our prom was in 1990, our theme song was "Against All Odds", and my prom dress was a kind of pinkish-purple color.  Mainly purple, but in different light it kind of shined a bit of pink.  I'm not sure how to describe it really--it was short and it was a big "style" at the time.  But, fortunately no one else had a dress just like mine.  :)  
I only mention it because I had two friends who had bought identical dresses, not on purpose, but boy was I happy I hadn't done that!

1983 --- Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes (I think), "Up Where We Belong".

I wore a black tux... sort of penguinish, I suppose.  :D

I didn't go to my prom so I don't remember the song, or have a dress :'(.  The theme was Southern Plantation, though.  A whole Gone With the Wind thing.

Didn't go, so no tux.  I think the song was Jack Wagner's "All I Need;" our prom was in '90...

My older brother graduated in 1988, and the theme was "Welcome To The Jungle"!

I left high school (dropped out) but I went back to get my equivalency certificate just before going to college.

Our program DID hold a prom for everyone who passed the test each year. I went in 1986 (the same year I would have graduated, anyway). I don't remember any theme song.

My dress was a lacy, aqua colored semi-formal.  It was one of the prettiest dresses there, because some of the girls misunderstood what "semi-formal" meant. Unfortunately, in my quest to look my best, I got a perm that turned out to be a disaster.  My date wore a black suit with a red bow-tie.

Once I get it scanned, I'll put it up in the gallery, along with a pic of how my hair normally looked.

Jr. Prom was Endless Summer Nights and I wore a rasberry colored saloon style mini dress (1988)

Sr. Prom was Paradise City and I wore a high-low green strapless gown (1989)

"Forever Young" by Alphaville.  NEVER heard the song at that time except at the prom.  Hear it all the time now, for the last 3 or 4 yrs.   :P

I've always hated dressing up.  Can't stand dress shoes.  So, since it was MY Sr prom, I got to go in "Troy Style".   8)

Black tux, pink hawaiian-style tie & cumberbund, a "paint-spattered" white shirt, and pink Chuck Taylor Converse.  Sounds louder when you read it than if you actually see it.  Right, Godessness?  (she's seen the pic, she wasn't there.)

My girlfriend wore a white dress.  For her prom (the next yr), I went normal.  Even wore dress shoes.   ::)  Don't remember the theme from that one.

Correct, oh faithful founder of my harem - you looked HOT!  :o  The outfit was absolutely stylin' for the times, and you certainly did it justice.


As for me...

We don't have "Prom" here, but we did have a Grade 12 Graduation dinner and dance that was formal.  There was no theme; all the decorations were just "Grad 90".

My dress was a black and gold strapless mini with a fitted bodice and a flared skirt.  (I designed it, and my step mom and I made it.)  I had matching accessories, including a couple of things which would fall into the TMI category!  ;D  

Although I didn't go, our theme song was "Nights in White Satin".  Our school disapproved, so they had to change it to "Knights in White Satin"...which conjured up a whole different meaning... ;D
