Subject: I Want Neon Colors To Be Cool And "In" Again....
I want arcades to come back as plentiful as they once were.
I want Tri-Colored Converse Hi, fedoras, blazers, skinny ties, Coca-Cola wear, Ocean Pacific and Hang Ten stuff to be readily available.
I want to wear a transparent colored visor on sunny days, one with lights would be even better!
I want snake cubes to be popular.
Darn, I miss the 1980's. :'(

You and me both, Hairspray!!! I keep hoping everything from the 80s will miraculously pop into vogue one of these days. We can always hope, can't we? :-[

I remember early last year, I went shopping in Gap anbd they were selling neon pink and neon yellow fleece tops. I bought one - however, opting for the slightly more placid colour of turqouise ;D
I must admit, the 80's stuff is slowly coming back, like stone-washed jeans, off-the-shoulder tops, slogan t-shirts, big jewellery and belts and lace tops are all in the shops at the moment :)

I heard the Gap put out stuff from the 80's last year and it flopped big time. I think the Gap should have waited a little longer for that like 2005. If the 80's fashions comeback the fashion trends won't change as quickly as they did from the late 70's to early 80's period. We're still wearing trends from 1996 so if the 80's revival of fashion comes back it is happening very slowly.

Oh, man Hairspray....ya hit target on the arrow on this one! Why is it so hard to find these things? Ya know there are so many of us that want the same things in the 80's, i wish we could go back in time or at least have an 80's fad back in style :).......they have done it with the 60's, 70's, 90's and the millenium.......what happend to the 80's???!! ??? I think we all gotta band together and shout, shout, shout and a little bit louder now, and a little bit louder now...yeah yeah yeah yeah ;D,that's the ticket! :D :D ;)What can we do, SERIOUSLY? to get this movin'? I've seen a lot of "peasant" style blouses lately, and more than a few of them are being worn with the "prarie" skirts popular in the early 80's.
A lot of fashions out there are still pretty 70's-ish. For anyone who is near a vintage re-sale shop I would reccommend checking out what they have. If enough people do it, eventually clothing lines will follow.
I seem to remember that was how the 70's-retro style got started (around here, anyway).

Yeah - I completly agree with you there. There's a lot of 'gypsy' style clothes around at the moment. But along with that - they're making stone-washed denim ra-ra skirts/puffball/drop waist skirts. And there's a lot of floral patterns around also. A lot of that is so not my thing - I wear very plain coloured clothes - I'm not really a bright patterned/floral/stripes person! Off-the-shoulder 'peasant' tops are very big now, and they're pretty 80's, right? I LOVE off-the-shoulder tops, and lace, there's a lot of lace items in the shops at the moment also.
Back to the original question - I did actually see a man wearing a neon yellow coat the other day :D
