Subject: Need Help With Rare 80's Song
Written By: Pete on 06/07/02 at 02:44 a.m.
There's this really, really, really, obscure 80's song that I used to hear on the radio around 1984. The lyrics when like this:
Hey Johnny...
...intead of watching TV
You used to do something
Now there's nothing better to do
Chorus:
Nobody's getting out
We're all in this together
Nobody's getting out
You know it's now or never
---------------------------------------
Could somebody please tell me the name of this song and the artist that sings it? ???
Please, please tell me now.
This song had a kind of muted electric guitar strumming (sort of like that song "Here She Comes Again" by the Cars). The guy who sings this song kind of sounds like Lou Reed.

It's called "Jimmy Jimmy" by Rick Ocasek (of The Cars) ("Beautitude", 1983).
