Subject: REO Speedwagon
I don't know if it was just my parts of the planet or were there other fans of REO Speedwagon out there.I remember when Hi Infidelity came out in grade 9 and followed through into grade 10 for me.I just heard a Speedwagon song on the radio the other night and had to check with you fine folks about your feelings on this one.I know the tunes on that album have a place in my 80's memory. With that I think I will go plop the album on right now.

I love REO Speedwagon. Especially Cant Fight This Feeling. Yes, I love sappy love songs. :)

I am a very big fan of REO Speedwagon. In fact, Hi Infidelity is one of my all-time favorite albums. You must be about the same age as me, Slippery D, because that came out when I was in 9th grade, too! ;D
Some of my favorite songs are:
"Don't Let Him Go"
"Take It On The Run"
"Keep On Loving You"
"In Your Letter"

I like "Can't Fight This Feeling," "Take it on the Run," and "Time for me to Fly," the best.

I love REO Speedwagon. I don't think there is one song on Hi-Infidelity that I don't like!! I still have it somewhere in my basement!

I would agree with Goldie on that one - I thought it was a great album.
I remember a guy at work telling me that they were a much 'heavier' band normally, but decided to give the 'Hi Infidelity' style a go, and were sort of peeved to find that it was much more popular.
Can anyone say if that's true ?

As "Hi-Infidelity" was thier finest, IMO, I didn't enjoy thier 1985 Lp at all with the exception of "Can't Fight This Feeling"....as for "Hi"...My favorite Keep On Loving You is closely followed by Take It On The Run and then most of the rest of this great album :D It's hard to imagine for me, that it's been a half of my life ago since it was out :(

Well, before their big popularity with the rise of MTV in 1980, they were known only for "Riding the Storm Out," which is a "heavier' sounding song--something that sounds best heard at 3 a.m. in the morning.

Another REO Speedwagon fan here!!
I loved Hi Infidelity as well...not a song on it I don't love...and the follow up too...I loved I Can't Fight This Feeling and Rock and Roll Star...
I remember having a b*tch of a time trying to figure out the line "Instead you lay still in the grass all coiled up and hissin'" from Keep On Loving You! LOL

I haven't really hard much of their stuff, but 'Keep On Loving You' is a fantastic song :)
