Subject: Like oh my God! 7 years...

I never know when to put the annual "let's boast about how long the site has been around in some shape or fashion" logo, since I don't know when the exact date the 80s portion of my first site went up.. but around the end of May, beginning of June is usually the right time (I did it at the end of June last year, so I'm coming out early this year with it)

the usual big thanks goes out to my friend Mike who designed the logo, and updates it for me each year, even though I probably could (he does such a better job than me)..

this is a complete snapshot of my July 1995 website, about two months into development. Not much to see, really bad looking design work (everything is centered, design faux paus circa 1995 for the web at large) Awful looking background patterns (you should have seen the original ones!). Of course not a single link off site worked anymore (even my 80s server link was bad, they hadn't set up 80s.com yet, still only had their school website with a "we'll be back" message).

I have an archive from around 1998 before I moved to my first real domain, but the work involved in cleaning it up to just re-display it, is probably more work than I care to undertake.. it's a little closer to the site of today though, so maybe at some point I will (maybe for the 8 year celebration)..

I just wanted to share with everyone..

Wow, indeed!!! Seven years!!! I think I discovered this site about five and a half years ago and it's really grown and expanded and improved a great deal over the past 7 years!!! Three cheers to Chucky for making this a fantastic place to hang out, make friends and have a good time!!! :)

that picture is also 7 years ago.. and no, I haven't started going bald a bit.. though a couple of gray hairs have been appearing..
