Subject: Favorite MTV VJ?
From the day mtv aired. Who was your favorite mtv vj? Mark Goodman. I always thought he was the best. ;D
Subject: Re: Favorite MTV VJ?
Alan Hunter and Martha Quinn.
The only VJs/reporters I like on eMpTyV now is John Norris and Kurt Loder. As for the others, heck, I don't even know their names...

I always liked Carolyne Heldman. Too bad it didn't work out for her. :(
As for a more famous VJ, JJ Johnson.

Always thought Carolyne was really cute...personality of a doorknob, but really cute and gorgeous hair :-).
Geez...can't remember the name of my favorite DJ...Kevin ???, he did the first few MTV sporting segments, called 'The Sporting Life', I believe. He was an irreverent wiseguy. Liked all the original DJ's to some degree or another, but none really stands out.

Kevin Seale (sp?) - that guy was a goofball...one of the best VJs ever at moronTV...
Dave Kendall was the best in my book...especially in the "mid" years of MTV...
Martha Quinn - definately tops of the early years...eh, all time too!!!

Oh yes...that's right! It was indeed Jackson. Man, it has been a looooong time since I last saw him on MTV. I guess I should go and change the name on my post now, too! Thanks, 80smusicfreak! :)

Subject: Re: Favorite MTV VJ?
I always thought Martha Quinn was too skinny/thin/bony just like "Downtown" Julie Brown (Now This One was annoying :P).

I couldn't STAND her either...the "Other" Julie Brown was pretty cheesy and made me laugh though :D
Subject: Re: Favorite MTV VJ?
All of the originals...and Adam Curry was SOOOOOOO hot!!!!
Martha Quinn aired a trivia question sent in by me one time...it was cool...my name was Donna Reed at the time, and we were all partying at my house when I said "she's gonna read my question!" Everybody said, "yeah, right!" but then she did...it freaked ME out!
All I got was a lousy key chain and a bumper sticker... ;)

I liked"Downtown"Julie Brown.Remember her final words at the end of her show:
"wubba,wubba,wubba,goodbye and god bless"! Now,what the hell is"Wubba"? ;D -howard- :)

Sorry, but even seeing that idiotic term in print still makes me "Cringe"....

Somehow that doesn't sound right. Or maybe I'm confused with a local urban DJ named JJ Johnson. Research, please :-/ ???

The VJ's are gone and sadly, they took the video's with them :(
Subject: Re: Favorite MTV VJ?
I don't know if she was an '80's or a '90's VJ, but Kennedy is the host of the new show on Game Show Network, Friend or Foe that begins in June.

She wasn't very popular with viewers, thus didn't last long as a VJ. :-/

Add me to the "Martha Quinn's A Babe" list!!
Never liked Nina. She seemed 'too cool' to me.
Kevin Seal was one of my faves. Always felt like that woulda been me if I was at MTV. A Huge smartass.
Subject: Re: Favorite MTV VJ?
Martha Quinn may have been a babe, but I didn't like her when she returned to MTV.
Thanks 80smusicfreak for the link. I was confusing JJ Jackson with an 80s DJ on the local black music station (Then WTLC 105) who's name was Super Jay Johnson. :-[ Sorry.

My favorite VJ's now would be Kurt Loder. At least he knows what good music is. Sway and Matt Pinfield are decent. Steph Lover and Booker are cool on MTV 2. All the rest of them do nothing for me.
Subject: Re: Favorite MTV VJ?
Adam Curry or Rikki Rocket. :)
Subject: Re: Favorite MTV VJ?
Mine was definetly Martha Quinn! ;D A very good VJ...and there was just something I liked about her better than Nina Blackwood...hmmm. :P
