though to be honest, I was never a big fan of the mullet.. maybe that's because I never owned a Camero...

An antimullet book came out last year called A history of the mullet or something like that. They seem to be a big joke now.

The show MAX X - "Maximum Exposure", always pokes fun at people with mullets. They always make it a point to point them out. < asks self - Did that come out right? :P > ;)

You know, I know what a mullet is but..how did it get it's name? I mean I never heard anyone call it a "mullet" in the 80's. And I may get made fun of here but I had one until about 1990. I still think they look cool. My brother and I were talking the other day and he said he wishes they would come back.

We never called a Mullet a "Mullet" either. ???
Man or Woman, boy or girl, you had your hair "feathered", or "feathered on the sides".
Occasionally, it was said (of girls, only) you had "wings".

Back in the 80s I remember we refered to mullets as "hockey hair", apparently because many Canadian hockey players cut their hair that way...But, I dont want to get any Canadians PO'd at me, so I'll just say that I dont remember any Canadians per se who had "hockey hair"... It is true though, you could always count on the mullet dudes to climb into their Camaros with the Journey stickers on the window!
