Hey Hey! Well, i'm going to this costume party saturday nite, and have got an idea of what i wanna be but i'm just not sure how to pull it off. I'm thinking 80's punk rocker. yes?? no?? OR -- absolutley any other easy costume ideas would work, preferably, from 80's and all era's before. ANY help would be appreciated!! :-* thanks! This party's friday, sooo  ya get these ideas in!

Odd, colored hair might work, too.  You can get spray-on, shampoo-off colors in just about any drugstore.  Be careful if you color your hair with permanant or semi-permanant dye, though, the temp stuff may not come out completly.

Leather jackets, with or without studs and spikes would work too, as well as studded bracelets.

I remember a lot of Mohawk-style haircuts too. (Shaved on both sides, leaving only hair on the top) I have seen Mohawk-style wigs, where there is a rubber skin-colored cap to cover your real hair.

Something I used to see a lot outside our local punk club was hair that was sprayed and laquered up into Mohawk styles or spikes. Sometimes they were colored, sometimes it was left in the natural hair's color.

I started a post on here which  mentions many 80's fashions which could help you out. Look for the post '80's theme party' on pg 2 or 3, as it should be there and could help you out :)

You'll be surprised how far a long hair wig will go! Just spray it crazy and go! You could just be wearing jeans and a t-shirt and still get the effect and get noticed. Of course, you could wear all black and amplify the desired effect.  ;)

Go and by some large nappy (daiper) safety pins...when the pin is SHUT, take some wire cutters and chop a section of the pin out leaving a small gap that you can thread over ears, thru noses, brows etc.

I did this at a dress up party for Uni...It looked totally awesome...Also, go buy some crap 2nd hand black leather gloves and chop the fingers off em. Wear just one!

If you have old jeans, get a crapload of bleach and black/green/?  paint and just heap it all onto them...let them fizz and 'set' for a couple of hours, then rinse them off. You can then take to them with an artists scalpel, or just rip shreds in em. Be sure to wear boots (Doc Martens are great)! Wear a tee with the Union Jack and paint fake tats on yourself a la Syd and Nancy...and viola!

Oh yeah, and if your talking 80s punk rocker, you could throw in a pair of braces (suspenders) to hold up your jeans, which you cover with button badges (Anarchy, Depeche Mode etc). Im sure there are some still around).

Dont forget to rub black crap all around your eyes so you look the whole deal, and as for the hair, well, thats where my advice stops...perhaps that is where "Hairspray" will give good pointers! Hairspray???

If you want heavy metal/rock hair:

You must have either long hair or a long hair wig. You tease, tease, tease! Flip your head of hair (or wig) over (your looking at the floor at this point) - shake, shake, shake and then spray your favorite hairspray all over your hair. Then flip back. Spray or mist just a little more for the final touch.

For a punk rocker look:

You use just a little more hair product for this one. You start with mousse or gel. Shape to desired shape or length. Spray the style with some strong/extra super hold hairspray. It may take a while, so give yourself a little extra time to experiment.

I guess you can always shave most of your head if you don't want to have too much work on your hands.  ;D

You can always go the "mullet".

Then there's the plain ol' Sebastian Bach (Skid Row, Lead Singer) do. Just long and straight.
