Subject: Fluff and Fuzz.... its HAIR METAL!!!

I know you chaps and lasses all know Im a hair metal fan, but for my 30th birthday I wanna do something cool.
Im going to throw an 80s hair metal party!
I will hire out a bar here in Perth and cover the walls with 80s metal posters. Everyone will be expected to come dressed in frock-rock attire ą la Poison, Warrant, Europe, Skid Row, Jovi, Vixen etc, and their invites will be posted out in the form of a laminated 'backstage pass' that they have to wear to the big event. I wanna rent lighting rigs and smoke machines...BUT I need some more groovy suggestions from you lot!
Its not for another 12 months, but I wanna have plenty of time to make it huge!
1. Can i have a few suggestions of all the bands that you can think of that typified "80s METAL", and perhaps a few hits of theirs listed. i gotta put a great music score together...
2. Any other cool ideas...ieg: a friend of mine said that old 2nd hand cheap 80s rock vinyl records can be used as place mats etc...
BTW, anyone of you here in Feb 2003 get an instant invite!!! :)

Getting old singles and plunging them into boiling water turns them into bowls or ashtrays. (we use to do them for plant pots).
Were Xmen moderately close to metal rock ??? Please say yes cos all my Xmen t shirts still fit me !!!!!!! And Brian was considered a "Bad wild boy" - remember when he was arrested for swearing on stage ;D ;D geez when you think what they get away with these days !

Sorry Phas - have been meaning to ask you ! Do you like Joe Camilleri ? My friend Gina is supporting him in two weeks time at a free outdoor gig in Como. She supported Wendy Matthews last night on the south perth foreshore in front of a crowd of 30,000 and was pretty stoked. I am so glad we were down the front !!!! If you want more details on the Joe gig let me know.

I'd say just about anything off Appetite for Destruction,any Dogs D'amour,a little Faster Pussycat,Quireboys,Pretty Boy Floyd,DangerDanger,I could go on for ever....It depends on the style of music within the 'hair band' genre you want (as you may have noticed I was a huge glam fan !!).I still have over 800 bits of vinyl covering Glam,prog,thrash etc etc shame I'm not a bit nearer......

Me too, I will never get sick of "Jump"! ;D I went crazy over it when it came out, and now I'm a huge VH fan.

i also noticed no mention of Def Leppard....what's the 80's without DL...they were, after all, named the #1 hair band of the 80s.......i like "Rock of Ages", "Pour Some Sugar on Me", "Animal","Rocket" (you know, for the louder variety)....if you are planning on anything slower, I could think of a few by DL. Ź:)
