Posts numbers were never really that much of an issue until Bobo came along. His obsession somehow filtered a bit into all of us and caused the creation of a board solely for that purpose. I literally went bonkers posting the last couple of days thinking IF I got to 1000, Bobo would relax and everyone would think along the lines of "I'm glad that's over".

I think everyone's milestones are important. I truly congratulate everyone who's achieved numbers. I just thought it was neat before when each person got their special moment on the 80's board. Maybe I'm just getting old.

I'm not going away forever. Just a week or so. A week on this board is like years gone by! Some of you already know that. I will have to pull double duty to catch up when the time comes. It'll be a joy to come back home to you guys & gals!!!

I agree if you feel you need a break due to health ,private stuff,quality time with yourself etc, then have a good break ,but if its just because certain people on the board are getting to you please don't let them  :(

Some people make a big deal of regulars not being here.  I'm not one of those people.  So I won't be really missing Hairspray at all.  Maybe I may notice Hairspray missing, but…

I would miss Hairspray, but I have to admit when I read the first post, I knew he/she wasn't going anywhere.  I would hate to see Hairspray go, but I've seen these posts on many boards, and the poster always stays.  If a person truly intends to leave, they just do, maybe pm'ing a friend or two to let them know.  I know that's how I've always left, because if I intend to stay gone, I won't be seeing anyone's responses, anyway.   :-/

Actually, I'm really here to spread my comments.  I really don't pay attention as to who's here but I really don't care as to the whereabouts of certain people.  If someone has left this board, I wouldn't really notice!  I wouldn't mind welcoming Hairspray back!  I'm the kind of guy who doesn't care about the comings and goings of certain people!  I don't mind having a good time, but I'm not being mean.  And if I took a long leave from this board, I could tell you I'm doing so but does it really matter to me?  Heck, no!

No, I tend to agree with you Rapture, and crazydon..and for that matter BadAngel's comments too.  I mean, of course any of us would feel bad (I would think) if we thought we were the reason someone wanted to get away, like we had hurt someone's feelings personally. That would probably make me feel bad.   But coming, going, taking time off, etc. from messageboards is just the way it goes.
I was just glad to see people support crazydon (as well as hairspray, for that matter) and not make him think we all thought he was just being obnoxious.  Now if he was just being obnoxious, well, I guess he had me fooled!  ::)

You, Karen M., are most certainly not "just a face in a crowd" around this board; at least not to me.  You distinguish yourself by being, IMHO, one of the nicest "cyberpeople" I've ever had the pleasure of "meeting".  Your posts are meaningful and tasteful, and you have something worthwhile to contribute to so many different topics.

I actually did wonder why you didn't post for a while.  But since I missed it if you said anything about leaving, I just assumed that you had your reasons, and hoped that when you had the time, you'd be back.  I haven't had the opportunity to get to know you very well yet, and I wasn't sure you'd appreciate the whole, "Where's Karen M., how come she's not posting, doesn't she love us anymore?" thread!   ::)

In the future, just remember...  IT'S ALL ABOUT THE PUBLICITY!  If you let us know you're going away, then we know it's okay to let you know we miss you and want you to hurry back!  But for the record, you're safe to just assume that from now on anyway; okay?  :D
