Subject: I noticed something that I hadn't before.

I was working on some papers and I put DeMode's Black Celebration album in the player. I have never actually listened to the entire album in one sitting and what I disc-overed is that the entire album, as strange as this may sound, spoke of every emotion and thought I have had as of late. "Very strange and bizarre," I keep thinking, "that it also sounds like a Valentine Day's album - bah! The first step to failure is trying..."

See, now, I always thought it chronicled the evolution and end of a relationship that wasn't particularly healthy. "But Not Tonight" seems to me to be the ony happy song on it, and he's happy because he's finally free. Or am I completely off kilter here?

Valentine's Day...Valentine's Day...I'm definitely going to go hunt it down again now.

Yes, now that you mention it, it does sound thus. Some Great Reward would have to be a sort of pre-amble to it; with the exception of "Blasphemous Rumours" and "New Dress" both albums make a double CD set. Coupled with 24 white roses and a Roy Lichtenstein ("As We Rose Up Slowly...") card. I must be one of  "suprasensual" sort that enjoys such vile things...

Oh no, I hear ya. That's one of the reasons I've always liked them, and the primary reason I don't think they have what they used to...they seem to have all forgotten what it feels like to have to work for it. (On the vague subject, for years I was teased because I insisted that "The Only Time" by NIN was the sexiest song ever. "Suprasensual". Much nicer word than what I got.)

...and people laughed when they heard me listening to Xymox's "No Human Can Drown," but that's
because maybe I'm all messed up...

Suprasensual is a word that Leopold Von Sacher-Masoch (if you read the name you'll now what type
of reading I did back in High School) developed and defined in his famous book, Venus In Furs
Yeah, as if I'd actually have the wits to come up with something of my own. You know, I think I read too many comic books.

Impossible. Did you by any chance have a female mannequin head that doubled as a candlestick holder? Just asking...

Haha. I wish I had your sense of decor, but there were times when I didn't even have a lamp or a light bulb to light my room. I was too lazy to change them and relied on being washed by the blue light of the television screen. I think the last phrase always gets people. Have you ever seen Rebel Without A Cause? Jim says that line at the observatory when all the hooligans are surrounding his car. I watch too many old films...
