Subject: Obscure 70s hits
Written By: whistledog on 04/17/18 at 1:26 am
Post what you think are some great obscure or forgotten 70s hits.
Please limit it to about 1-2 videos per post. I love hearing songs I never new about :)
I'll begin with one I know I have talked about before, but it's so good, it's worth another mention.
This was a massive European hit from 1978 called Trojan horse by a Dutch female trio called Luv'. This didn't fare as well outside of Europe, and was a one hit wonder in Australia (peak #50), New Zealand (peak #6) and Canada (peak #95).

Here is one from 1979 called Shaka Shaka by an artist named Zwol. This was not a hit outside of Canada, and only made it to #96 in Canada, which may not seem good, but don't let that turn you away. The catchy beat and fun lyrics; I could listen to this on loop and not get bored!

Not sure if you can call this one a "hit" but it is definitely obscure. This one is from David Soul-yup, of Starsky & Hutch fame. I'm wondering how many people remember this one.

I only know Zwol from this minor hit he had over here (only reaching #61):
