‘78 and ‘79 were ‘80s years, so I’m not going to include movies from that time on my list.
Here’s my list:
- Star Wars (1977)
- Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1970)
- Love Story (1970)
- The Bad News Bears (1976)
- The Hobbit (1977)

Sadly you are right as far as music goes..... Alot of bands started digitally mixing thier music in 1978 and it doesnt sound good at all!! (Sounds thin, etc)
The world died in the 80s and its sad..........

Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory.

I would have had "A Clockwork Orange" in my list of 5 favourite films, but for even though it is set in the future, the film looks dated.

That's true it does look dated I still love it though even though it is a very controversial film especially at the time it came out.

Over the many years since it's original release, the film director Stanley Kubrick banned it from distribution, and for that reason I never got to see it till the DVD was made available after the death around 1999. But, somehow my son got to see it before me when the film was on a short cinema release around that same time.

Yes, I agree. Two of my favourite films of the 70's are National Lampoon's Animal House from 1978 and The Warriors from 1979
