Subject: Back east in the 70s, I remember...

Living in East Boston, Cambridge and Roslindale. All the songs on the radio were ear candy. AM radio soft rock and singer/songwriter pop ruled. UHF channels 56 and 38 were for kids with cartoons and monster movies. Elementary school was walking distance and there were candy stores on the way. Played outside all day in all seasons and slept outdoors on lounge chairs on hot summer nights. Oh, how the world was so easy and simple.

Sounds heavenly! Nowadays we're all holed up in apartments in towering skyscrapers.

It was the pop culture. Most movies were block
busters and every tune on the radio was a hit.

and yammering on our cell phones, sitting hours and hours by the computer and TV playing with video games and using Facebook/Twitter.
