No, not the band "The Cars" (everyone leaves now... ;D)
What was your family car in the 1970s?
Here was one of ours. The year is 1974. Our car then was a Torino (the car closer to you in the photo). Not sure of the actual year of the car.

I didn't even exist in the '70s, but my father did have several cars in the '70s from the late '60s/early'70s. Some that he had were:

My Dad had a Volvo and my Mum had a Mitsubishi Galant Sigma...

I wasn't born then, but my dad had a roughly 1959 International Travelall and a brand-new Audi 100. My mom had a Triumph Herald (basically a Spitfire sedan) at the time. All worth a pretty penny now.

I think the yellow one is a Chevy Impala. Maybe a car guy like AL-B would know for sure.

(looking back 40 years, fuzzy memories) I always though they (family friend) had an early 70s Chevy Biscaine, but you could be right.
AL-B would know, maybe FooBar too.
