Subject: 70s: the Decade of Hats

One thing I observe about the fashions of the 70's: more than the decades before and after, it seems hats were IN. Big stars would sport hats without apology. Of course there were certain types of hats that were popular before and after, but in the 70's hats of all kinds seemed more mainstream.

In the early 70's I recall that crocheted floppy hats were the rage. Plus denim patchwork hats (I had one myself; it got stolen >:(). Later in the decade cowboy hats got more popular (their popularity would continue into the 80's)
