This is a really good article with other links to other stories about the band and the accident itself, how it occurred with some rare pictures of the plane and a few news articles from the local media reporting at the time it happened.
Its a really interesting read :)

I remember when that happened. "What's Your Name" was the hit single at the time. I had never heard of Lynyrd Skynyrd before. No one in my family listened to Southern Rock.
Sad to see another survivor of that disaster go.

I was in 11th grade at the time. I remember talking about it in US history class at school the next day. Shortly after the crash the record company changed the cover of the Street Survivors LP.
