Subject: Rockem sockem robots. Remember this toy?

Anyone have this toy, I did and it was very enjoyable.

We (me and my older brother) had a good friend/neighbor close to our age - he had one. We'd play it with him a lot. This was most likely around 1966 or 1967 (we moved to a different neighborhood in '68). The toy was just introduced around that time. It was cool!

I still have mine !!!!!!
Gave it to My 2 Nephews to play with...God knows it wasn't in "mint" condition...So I wanted them to enjoy it as much as I did .....
Anyone have this toy, I did and it was very enjoyable.

Great! Have you played with it in the last few years? There was another toy called "Battling tops" which I enjoyed as much.

Yes..I got them for Vaughn last Christmas....they aren't originals...but very close to it.

Battling Tops I loved! One of my brothers had the game but we all liked to play it.
they also had something a bit like Rock Em Sock Em but, from memory, it was a metal framework covered with cloth and used more like a hand puppet. They may also have been 'human' boxers rather than robots

Excellent toy. The first thing that comes to mind when I see one is the noise from a good punch to the jaw. RIZZZZZZZZ
I don't have one, I never had one, :( but my friend did. I did just get a Gnip Gnop though.

Battling tops were fun to play and I now that I think back, I played it more often than Rockem Sockem Robots.

I remember it, but never had it myself, but I got Matthew one 2 Christmas's ago, and now he also has a Transformers Version that is Optimus Prime vs Megatron. We play them both together!!!

I think I had those once upon a time. The red one could kick the blue one's ass, so he ran away and I only had the red one after a while.

The toys were reissued. I bought one for my nephew a few years back and he loves it! Great toy !
