Star Odyssey was released in Italy in 1979, and over the last twenty years has remained a stain on that nation's conscious. I think they should give us all free Alfa Romeros and pasta salads, or we will have George Bush invade them.

What are the odds that this was featured on MST3K?
tragically, it never was! although apparently the same company went on to do sword and sandal epics in the 80s that were equally as bad and mst DID do a few of these.
it's funny how italy makes some of the best films in history, and they also are talented at opening up whole new categories of badness no one else can even approach.

weird coincidence, this just popped up on my youtube subscription list in an amateur "mistied" version. The jokes aren't very good but I always liked the multi-colored star fields -- how very disco! -- and caroline munro (NOT, apparently, related to the luscious janet munro of "crawling eye" and "darby o'gill and the little people") is easy on the peepers.
a surprising turn from a young sam elliot as the wisecracking texan robot.
well, okay, that wasn't really sam elliot playing the robot. but maybe it would have helped if he had been.
