Subject: Favorite chocolate bars

I remember in 70s as a kid buying candy was a treat. In particular buying chocolate candy. My favorites were Milky Way, Nestle Crunch, Kit Kat, and Snickers.
By the way, my local grocery store only sells the most popular chocolate candies i.e. Snickers M&Ms, Reeses Pieces, Hersheys, but I always wondered do they still make
Pay Day
Oh Henry
Marathon Bar
1,000,000 Bar
Charleston Chew
Clarks
Mr. Goodbar (the name could be wrong)
You guys remember the 10:30 bar or Reggie (after Reggie Jackson)

I really got into Clark Bars and Mountain Dew at summer camp. And yes, they still make most of those, you just have to scour the vending machines. I've found some Dollar stores will carry Clarks at cheap prices too.

I still have a Reggie bar wrapper (that I bought in 1978 across the street from Yankee Stadium)

Charleston Chew was awesome because quantity trumped quality at the time. Tell you the truth, I didn't know what that nougat sh*t was made of, and I didn't much care either. Prolly took 11 years off my lifespan, but that's the price you pay!
:D

Peppermint Patty was best on a cold winter's day. I loved those.
Chunky, on the other hand, you had to be a chocoholic on the worst kind of jones to resort to one of those. It's like if you and I got wrecked on a desert island with nothing but a crate of Chunkys, you best learn to sleep with one eye open!
