Subject: childrens book about popping popcorn

I am looking for a book from my childhood where they pop popcorn and it fills the whole house. I believe the front cover is white and yellow with popcorn on it.

the above book was done in 1979.
I also found this book but it was released in 2003

Frank Asch lives not too far from us. Carlos & his ex-wife were acquaintances with him & his wife. I haven't but I talked to him on the phone. Both of us have the same opinion of him-he's an asshole.
