She wrote "This Flight Tonight" which made Nazareth a household name.(their only note worthy hit)
Joni definately is one of the Greats like Joan Baez

Joni definately is one of the Greats like Joan Baez
I like Joni Mitchell a lot. I recall her performance of "Coyote" in The Last Waltz. A favorite of mine is "Free Man In Paris". But I like a lot of her stuff, both what she performed and wrote (performed by others).

I liked her better as a songwriter than a singer.
One of her greatest successes as a songwriter was in 1974 when Nazareth took 'This Flight Tonight' into the UK and Canadian Top 40
