I had an Action Figure (Not a doll!) in the early- mid 70's, and I just can't remember it's name. It was maybe an 8 inch Astronaut, rubber over wire skeleton. All I think I can remember, was his suit was orange. Anybody?

Nope, but nice try. This wasn't made nearly as well as a G.I.Joe of the times. Like I said, it had rubber over a wire skeleton, not the jointed hard plastic like Joe.

It may very well have been, because I also got Action Jackson and not G.I. Joe. I was looking further into it today, and stumbled across Major Matt Mason. This sounded close, but didn't quite sound right. If there was a knock off of that, it would have been the one I had. Matt Mason had a glider, and I had one of those for my Astronaut too. Unfortunately, what I remember most about it, was bending his arm and having the wire skeleton tear though the rubber skin.

Actually, that might be it. Also on that page were Callisto and Scorpio, which I think I had. Scorpio definitely rings some bells! Thanks for filling in the blank spot in my memory :)
