There have been many memorable series finales but these are imho the best of the best.

St. Elsewhere gets my vote.  For those who haven't seen it, allow me to spoil it for you LOL ... it turns out that St. Eligius was nothing but the figment of the imagination of an autistic child. 

What was most memorable though about that episode was as the credits rolled through, the MTM Cat flatlined

Thanks my fav is Six Feet Under,Newhart was the second though. St Elsewhere too. Remember Howie with hair?

M*A*S*H* finale was really good.  After M*A*S*H was disappointing though.

I just realized it's funny how I DIDN'T vote Newhart, considering it's my favourite sitcom of all time

I have never seen an ep of Six Feet Under so I can't say

I hated MASH but saw the finale... it was okay but I would've been more touched if I liked the show.

I liked the St. Elsewhere ending but if Jason hadn't refreshed my memory I couldn't have told you how it ended.

Mary Tyler Moore was a good ending but I wouldn't say it was the best ever.... it was about as emotional as the Cheers finale.... cheers might have even been more touching because of the memory of Coach....

Newhart was an excellent ending...perhaps the best mentioned in the poll but I hated the show so for me I was happy to see Bob back in his old bed because the Bob Newhart Show was far superior to Newhart....

NYPD- I'd stopped watching NYPD Blue about 3 years before it ended...the dialogue was far too redundant for me.

Yeah I totally loved the Newhart finale and show. I've never done the Vermont thing though. I lived for years in upstate NY in the mountains.
