I recently found this snapshot of Tony Randall from the short-lived sitcom "Love Sidney", holding this old white & orange paper cup, which below it is the only other instance I can find of it.  Its design was replaced in the late 1970s with red-orange, orange and yellow patterns for generic paper cups.  Anyone remember this old design (or what its called / some kind of prairie / wheat design) or have any other pics of it?  Thanks in advance.

Yeah I remember those.  They were kinda pretty in a 70s way.  I got something in a cup at a hospital cafeteria a couple years ago in that design.  Not sure if the cup was leftover from those days or they are remaking them again.  Makes me wonder.

Wow, that'd be cool.  Yeah, I always liked that color combo.  The top left cup design seems to be the one that replaced this one. On a side note, years ago I was making retro cups with graphics for a fake radio station with a '70s feel.  Tho now I'd like the graphics from that old cup to use for a website.

the pop-out finger-holder handle is pure genius.

But they don't make cups with that pop-out handle anymore do they?  I wonder why not?  They use those cardboard sleeves now to protect your hand from the hot coffee, which is just more potential litter.

I remember the design and I also remember the show "Love, Sydney". I loved that show when it was on and was sad that it was canceled quickly.

Worst design for a paper cup: Conical.  You've probably seen these at water coolers.  Perhaps the only benefit was it kept empty cups in the trash near the cooler instead of all over the office.  You couldn't put it down anywhere, so you'd end up gulping your water right by the bubbler.

I remember those cup designs. I haven't seen them in a long time, though.

Now it's all about the logo.  I think every cup I see now has a Coke or some other soft drink logo on it.  Absolutely no style.

I also remember when the hot coffee paper cups used to have the poker hands on them.  Used to find those in the hospital vending machines (at least that's what I associate that design with)
