Subject: Please Help - I think the tv show took place in the 70's...

I can't remember the name of the show but I remember an actor whose first name began with Zalman. Don't remember the last name but he played a social worker I think. He had curly brown hair and a big nose but a nice face. Anyone remember? I know it's not much to go on!
