Love this guys work, yet you don't see him promoted or advertised...maybe he may be playing Branson or a little town, but he should be out there more...
I enjoy his songs compared to Weird Al...

Wow, Ray Stevens...
I remember my dad would break out the guitar and sing Ray Stevens songs to us when we were kids. We'd crack-up...
Now I have to go find some lyrics...

Ray did some song about Barry Manilow that I thought was funny. I am too lazy to google the actual title of it at the moment
His best (I think) was 'Everytihng is Beautiful'. Very nice song :)

Had an album in the early 70's with Guitarzan, Ahab The Arab and Harry The Hairy Ape. Damn funny songs ....but on the flip side he could chart with serious pop songs as well (eg Everything is Beautiful, Misty etc). A very talented and versatile artist.
Haven't heard hide nor hair from in since the eighties.....

I think The Streak is one of my favorite 70's novelty songs, after Convoy. :D
