Subject: Game Shows

There use to be so many of them and for the most part they were all pretty good.
Of course I temper that with only having three channels to choose from.
The ones I had to watch were The Match Game, Tattle Tails and my all time favorite, The Gong Show.
Not a lot of money was won on these shows, part of the reward was just being on them and meeting the likes of Richard Dawson or Fannie Flagg.
There were others that were a lot of fun to watch but those three are my top picks.

Most of the 70s Game Shows, I liked the 80s revivals much better:
Card Sharks (Bob Eubanks)
Family Feud (Ray Combs)
$25,000 Pyramid (Blue and orange set)

I liked trivia games but didn't get into Jepordy till the 80's but I did like the Jokers Wild. It was kinda corny but I go back to the three TV station thing. :)

CBS, NBC and ABC? The golden days 8)
I miss those old days when you could find all kinds of Game Shows on in the morning. Lately it's starting to feel like that again, but it's still not the same

I loved Match Game as a kid but most of the jokes just went over my head. Now watching it as an adult I GET the jokes. :D ;D ;D ;D I used to watch just about all of them but I did like Truth or Consequences.

I liked the Price Is Right with Bob Barker. There just seems to be a "classy" persona in the 1970s Bob Barker.

Some 70's game shows I watched:
Hollywood Squares
The Price Is Right
Family Feud
Newlywed Game
Gong Show
Match Game
I may have forgotten some others I watched, but I liked the ones I listed. I remember watching Let's Make a Deal a lot, but that was probably in the 60's.

I used to enjoy CROSS WITS....and as a kid on Sunday morning I would watch WONDERAMA. Also used to be a noon time game show called SPLIT SECOND and they used to give away cars at the end if you had the right key. I believe it was hosted by Tom Kennedy. I can also recall celebrity charades hosted by Bobby Van.

Oh yeah, I remember Concentration very well. We were regulars. We'd watch it then go to the kitchen table and play a few games of concentration with cards...
Good stuff...
