I noticed that are threads about songs that take you back . But is there a TV show theme song you hear that takes you back . Mine is All In the Family , every time I hear that I have flash backs of being young , setting in the floor in front of the TV set with my Mom telling to back away from the screen so I wont go blind .

Dallas, when I was a kid I was forbidden to watch it.  I'd hide around a corner and watch bits and pieces of it.

Benson.  More than just the theme, but in the intro when the Doberman's chase Benson into the mansion.  When I bought the DVD set of Season 1, that's the one thing I was waiting to see 8)

All of the above. I spent the entire 70s parked in front of the tube. I could sing/hum just about any show's theme song.


But I think the one that really touches me is the theme from Angie (I'm sure many people even have forgotten that show). The theme was called Different Worlds sung by Maureen McGovern (same one who did "Morning After" from the Poseidon Adventure). I even had the 45 of that song-actually, I think I STILL have it. It reminds me of a special someone from my past.

Mine would have to be M*A*S*H.

I remember when the first strums of the guitar would come on. My mom would put me and my sister to bed and I could hear it on in the living room.
The worst thing about it was sometimes it would still be light outside and I could still hear kids playing outside. To this day I still get butterflies when I hear it.

Weird, huh?

I agree with you on that.  Valarie was a bit too ordinary looking.

I've seen Valarie in those Jenny Craig commercials lately and I think she looks amazing for her age (mid to late 40's); to me, she looks almost the same as she did in the 80s.  :)

I bet Eddie Van Halen is kicking himself right about now .
