Subject: Cough Medicines

The ones I am trying to identify were:
1. A clear emerald green and had a slight minty taste. I remember it as Novahistine but I am not entirely sure.
2. A prescription syrup that was a honey color and had a very strange taste.
Does anyone remember either of these? Are they still around? This was ca. 1972.
