The soda man used to deliver soda right to your front door?

I don't know how popular this was but when I was a kid in my neighborhood, the soda man used to deliver quart bottles, 12 to a pack, in many different flavors.

I remember not being able to choose which flavor I should drink first. 

Anybody else used to get their soda delivered?

wow I do not recall ever seeing door to door delivery of soda... wait did we get Fanta delivered when I lived in Panama- you know we might have... the memory is very vague tho.

We used to have milk delivered to the front door.

I kinda remember, the company was called Soda Shop or something like that. I remember going to a party at my friends house and they had 12oz. bottles of different flavored pop to choose from.

You are bringing back memories now, in my old town we used to have Corona and they had deliveries.

Yes,  I remember my grandmother used to get seltzer spritzer bottles and Hoffman soda.

I think I saw a van delivering pop fairly recently - wish I could recall whether it was here or back in the UK.

I forget whether it was Good Morning America or some other morning show, but the did a story on Milkmen making a comeback. Eggs, cheese, milk, and maybe bread, being delivered to your door.

Actually it was the milk for work.  I have no idea what happens now.  I couldn't get hold of the milkman before I left!

Yes I am fan of Bill Oddie too.

We used to get soft drink delivered...The company was YY...another company that delivered was Ecks and another was Shelley's.

We also used to get bread delivered in the mornings always at around 4am.

Milkman would come at 5am.

The soft drink man would come at 10am.

and the fruito (fruit delivery man) would come at 1pm.


We used to get a LOT of stuff delivered back in the 70's.

I don't remember the soda man,  but in our neighborhood the breadman (came straight from the bakery the bread was still hot when you got it) & milkman use to delivery to your house.  So did the deli, drug store, and market.  And doctors made house calls! (totally of unheard of now, and,  yes I'm that old.)
