Subject: Tom Snyder passed away on July 29th.

I was really surprised to hear of his death.
Talk about something or someone that represented the '70s. Who could forget when Tom Snyder was on late night television in the '70s with his "Tomorrow Show".
The best of that show were probably the ones from 1974-1976. They were unlike anything on the 3 network television at the time.
Many times I'd stay up late and watch The Tomorrow Show when I knew I really should have been in bed. I didn't mind so much if I had just gotten off work from my part-time job at the time or if it was during the summer.
Here's a good example from 1976

And if memory serves me correct, I think it wasn't until around 1977-78 before Dan Aykroyd started to lampoon Tom on SNL.
