Ah! The mighty Peters & Lee!
It was an achievement in itself that a 'mushy' ballad could hit #1, but even more so when it was 'sandwiched' between two legendary exponents of Glam rock (namely Slade and Gary Glitter!)

It's hard to say if a certain song didn't do well or make it in the top-10 in another country. It looks like many of the songs were just released a month or two (or even more) outside their country of origin. #1 in the US in July could be #1 in Canada in August, and vice-versa ??
