I like 'em all, but my ultimate favourite was their version of 'Beechwood 4-5789'

'Yesterday Once More' gets my vote...but all of their songs are really good! :)

Almost everything!
Their first compilation ('Singles 69-73') didn't have one single duff track on it (with the possible exception of the sickly 'Sing'...)
I'll pick 'Hurting Each Other' for argument's sake...

I never realized how little of their material was original until really looking at this list. Still, such great songs, they did.
I also chose "Hurting Each Other"

Here's a little Carpenters trivia ...
Their 1978 hit "Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft" was a cover song. It was written and made famous in 1977 by Klaatu, a Canadian progressive rock band who were often mistaken for The Beatles
In the classic 1951 sci-fi film "The Day the Earth Stood Still", the character of Klaatu (to which the band took their name from) adopts the surname Carpenter. Strange co-incidence, eh?

Tough, tough choice - they had so many good ones! :)
I picked "Close To You" but could've easily picked others.

I love The Carpenters. I had to vote for Superstar as that really was their crowning glory! But I love 'em all!
"Won't Last A Day" was a close contender and their version of "Ticket To Ride" is almost definitive for me. :)

Yeah, I like some of their stuff. I'm not going to lie.
"Other" for me.
Merry Christmas, Darling (1970 & 1978)
And also
Rainy Days and Mondays
Hurting Each Other (original by Ruby & The Romantics, 1969)

There's no way I can pick just one song 'cause there's a lot of good ones, but I went with "(They Long To Be) Close To You". I also love "Top Of The World", "Yesterday Once More", "Only Yesterday". Their version of "There's A Kind Of Hush" is also very good but isn't on this list.
Worst song: "Please Mr. Postman" AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!

True. It's when they do silly songs like that it's when I don't care for them.
