I just read on another message board that Brad Delp, lead singer of Boston, unexpectedly died at only 55. I don't have any more info.
Very, very sad :\'(

I'm deeply saddened by this loss. Seen them live a few times, one of the best bands in concert. Goodbye to a Rock Legend. I know where my Boston CD is and am going to be playing it a lot today :\'(

I've been a huge Boston fan since the first album came out back in the 70s, This is really a shock to me, 55 is way too young to die.. Sad weekend for sure. R.I.P. Brad.

Gonna hitch a ride
Head for the other side
Leave it all behind
Never change my mind
Gonna sail away
Sun lights another day
Freedom on my mind
Carry me away for the last time

This is too bad. Boston was a great band. I remember first hearing them on an 8 track that my dad had. :)

I always got him & Tom Scholz confused.
In any case, I hope Brad's up there belting out a few in Heaven for us.

Turns out that he commited suicide. I hear he shut himself in a bathroom with some BBQ grills and lit them up. He died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

What a shame that he felt that was his only escape... :\'(

I was working a car show this past weekend and the radio announcer said that during an advert break and I was so sad.
I saw the band during the tour in 95, 97?? And it was amazing. I've only been to 3-4 concerts but it was a top-rate show.
This says it all
"Farewell to the nicest guy in the music biz",Joe Benson...car guy and radio personality.

Who can forget their first album. They were never able to outshine that one on their following efforts.
"Foreplay/Long Time" was my favorite.
