Subject: Need help identifying obscure 70's music.
Written By: ottertrack on 12/30/06 at 5:17 pm
Hi,
I've been trying for years to find someone who knows which artists sang the following songs for years with no luck. If I had to catagorize the music I'd say folk, folk rock or singer/songwriter.
Unidentified artist 1 (male, sounds a bit like a young Bruce Cockburn):
Song titles may be:
Lucky Day (or Rainbow)
Carrie (first line in song is "Carrie comes to me smiling, shine like the light of the day.")
Genevie (or Genevive)
Streamlined (or Simplicity)
Better Days (or Fly the Good Things Home to You)
Unidentified artist 2 (male):
song lyrics include "sometimes we're part of the laughing, sometimes we're part of the crying - we are a part of it all" and the song ends with "I keep looking for that sunset. I don't know when it will be."
If anyone has any ideas I'd sure appreciate it. Thanks!

Or, do you know of another web site where I might be able to find the answers?
Thanks.

Thanks - sounds like a good suggestion. Any idea what's the simplist way to do this? Do I need to insert a link (to someplace that I can post the audio files) or is there a way to insert the audio file directly into a posting on this site?

Easiest would be posting it on a some sort of website I will try to dig deeper. A lot of these sites offering free storage of files is a good one. Just have to create a storage only for this purpose and give the user n' password to some one for one time and then change the p'word again afterwards.
There you go... tell if it works then may I can assist you..

Better Days (or Fly the Good Things Home to You)
Graham Nash had a song called "Better Days" from a really good album called "Songs For Beginners".
