Anyone remember those commercials where there's an old couple in bed, and the only thing the old guy says is, "I can't believe I ate the whoooooole thing!"?

Yes, for Alka Seltzer. The advertisement was revived last year with a guy sitting on his bed saying the same line.
Also from that era, do you remember the one for Right Guard spray deodorant where a gue shares a medicine chest with the neighboring apartment and they can see through to each other through the cabinet. He opens it one day and the neighbor says "Hi Guy" and then the ad starts. The first guy finally calls for his wife "HEY MONA!!". It was pretty comical............

You forgot to mention when it was revived last year, they had Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts (from Everyone Loves Raymond) as the couple.
How about..."That's a spicy meatball!"

I remember it well...my sister an I used to say it all the time when we were kids.
Do you remember "Plop, Plop. Fizz, Fizz. Oh what a relief it is!"?

Yes; however I do not like acknowledging the fact that I do!! ;) I can still visualize the characterization of the "singer" of that jingle....(Unfortunately!) He was the "Alka Seltzer Tablet" bodied kid..................

I'm surprised that Howard hasn't chimed in with a porno-related comment about "eating the whole thing!"

He rarely comes down this way. He usually stays in the PPP or the Ask Me sections.

Sure, I am old enough to remember them all.
And the other Alka Seltzer commercial that was set in a restaurant, and it goes something like this:
Restaurant customer: "'Try it. You'll like it. Try it. You'll like it.' I tried it. Thought I was going to die. Took two Alka Seltzer."
I think some of the best television commercials came out of the '70's.

Yeah, they were memorable, weren't they? Two come to mind.
PALMOLIVE: (Madge) "You're soaking in it."
McDONALDS: (Big Mac) The one where everybody tried to say, "Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun."
I can't remember where I leave my keys half of the time now, but I still remember these catchphrases! Go figure.

I still remember the "Chant" for the board game "TROUBLE" (maybe late 1960's):
Have you got Trouble?
Wait! Don't run!
This kind of trouble is lots of fun!
Pop-O-Matic pops the dice,
pop a six and you move twice!
Race your men around the track,
and try to send the others back!
That's Pop-O-Matic Trouble!
Anybody else still hear this one echoing around our heads from our Saturday AM cartoon days?

The actor who said that line was NYker Jack Sumac
I met him once and he asked if I recalled that commercial..Of course! I said and he told me that was him!
He's passed on but he also appeared in many tv shows.

Does anyone remember a restaurant chain called "The Red Barn"?
I remember it from childhood, when I lived in Ohio.
They had this catchy tune:
"When the hungries hit, when the hungries hit...hit the Red Barn!"

Holy (CENSORED), Gemini!
You are one cool person!
What part of Ohio are you in?
I lived in Cleveland, and had an uncle in Euclid.

I live in a very small town between Dayton and Cincy, but I grew up in Beavercreek. I hope you liked the video!
