Subject: Cherries Jubilee

Was this a '70s fad? It's suppose to be a dessert where they put a torch to cherries and then they get lightly crisp and then you put some brandy over them and then serve them over ice cream. Sound tasty, but I've never had them (I don't believe).

Cherries Jubilee was actually made for Queen Victoria.

Cherries Jubilee makes my mouth water whenever I hear it. I love cherries in any shape or form. I always remember on "TV Censored Bloopers" back in the early 80s there was this cooking sketch with cherries jubilee and I always wanted to taste them. The presenter was famous... some guy with a big chin, I'm thinking the Galloping Gourmet Graham Kerr. ;D He had trouble getting them to flambe.
