Subject: The 1973 Oil Embargo/Fuel Crisis

I was 13 when this occurred, and so don't have all that many memories of it. I do remember seeing TV images of long lines at gas stations and people pushing cars whose tanks were empty. Anyone old enough to get stuck in the gas lines?

I remember fuel rationing, only able to get fuel on even or odd days depending on your vehicle registration. It was about the time I started driving. I remember my parents complaining about the price of gas nearly doubling in price. I can remember gas at 32cents a gallon, but when I started driving in 76 it was about 65cents.
