"Currently, Mac Davis can be seen in a recurring role as the father in law on the ABC sitcom Rodney"

I remember that movie. One of the finest Football films there ever was!
It was s'posed to be his big break into the acting game, but he never really became a major star on the big screen :\'(

I voted "1972 - Baby Don't Get Hooked on Me" for the sheer gall of the song ;D ;D
In truth, he was not well known in Aus except for that song and "Hard To Be Humble". "Rock and Roll (I Gave You The Best Years Of My Life)" was a hit here for Kevin Taylor - have never heard Mac Davis' version :)

I only know Kevin Johnson's, personally. Good one, it is. I've not heard Mac's either.

I voted for Baby, Don't Get Hooked on me.
I liked his show-watched it all the time (when it was on-of course). I liked the part where he would go out into the audience and ask people to come up with a word and he would make up a song about that word on the spot. It was fun to watch.
